AWS E308-16 Stainless steels Manual electrode Welding stuff
Application&Standard&Note:
1. Suitable for petrochemical, pressure vessel, food machinery, medical equipment, fertilizer and other industries, welding 18% CR-8% Ni stainless steel (SUS304, etc.)
2. The standard we met: GB/T983 E308-16, AWS A5.4 E308-16 & A5.4M E308-16, ISO3581-A:E(19 9) R 1 2, ISO3581-B:ES308-16, JIS Z3221 ES308-16
E308-16 is designed for welding of the following 18-8 stainless steel types: 301, 302, 304 and 308. The weld deposit has the proper chemical content and balance for satisfactory welding of type 308, and therefore is suitable for welding 18-8 types of lower alloy content. Sound weld metal and corrosion resistance equal to or greater than that of the parent metal are assured.
Features
1. Titanium calcium stainless steel electrode, the main composition is 18% CR-8% Ni-9%
2. Stable arc, beautiful forming, fine ripples, few splashes, easy de-slagging, good fire resistance of drug skin, good stomatal resistance.
3. Stable mechanical properties, X-ray pass rate is high.
Attention:
- The welding electrode must be preheated at the temperature of 300℃ for 1 hour, preheat the rod whenever it is used
- Preferred DC power supply ,electric current should not be high.
- The rust, oil, water and other impurities of the weld must be removed before welding.
- To minimize the amount of heat input and welding electrode oscillating amplitude should not be too big.
5. Preheat and interlayer-temperature should remain below 150 ℃
