What is ER80S-G
ER80S-G is a Low-Alloy Steel Electrodes and filler wire for gas metal arc welding i.e. TIG and MIG-MAG welding.
Electrodes and rods of the ER80S-G or ER90S-G classifications are those filler metals not included in the preceding classes and for which only certain mechanical property requirements are specified. ER80S-G filler wire can be used for single pass and multipass techniques.
As this is a special welding rod classification, the wire manufacturer shall be consulted to decide the chemistry, mechanical properties, and delivery conditions for this wire as per the customer requirements.
Features
Gas shielded welding wire for low alloy high strength steel. With good all-position welding process performance, the welding wire also has good weldability in vertical, upright, horizontal and other positions, which meets the welding needs of on-site production and installation of large welding products such as hydraulic large steel structures, ships, power stations, boilers, petrochemicals, etc.
Uses: The use of argon-rich mixed gas protection is widely used in the welding of 600Mpa grade low-alloy high-strength steel in various fields such as hydraulic large steel structures, ships, power stations, boilers and pressure vessels, petrochemical industry, engineering machinery, lifting and transportation equipment, such as HITEN610U2, 62CF, 15MnVN, BHW35 and other corresponding strength grade steels.
