2. Common deficiencies in the welding process of austenitic stainless steel
1) Stomata: Hydrogen pores caused by moisture or insufficient dryness occur more often
2) Cracks: hot cracks and arc pit cracks caused by P and S segregation occur more often (pay attention to arc collection can be avoided)
3) Intergranular corrosion: staying in the sensitized temperature zone of 450-850 °C for a long time, the grain boundary precipitates chromium carbides to form chromium-poor grain boundaries.

Save the condition
Must be stored in a drier warehouse, it is recommended that the indoor temperature is above 5 ° C, the relative humidity is ≤ 60%, and it is stored for less than 3 years.
When storing, it must be 300mm above the ground and more than 300mm above the wall.
Do not throw it at will when carrying, otherwise it is easy to cause the skin to fall off.
Preparation before welding
1) The welding rod needs to be dried for 300·350 ° C for 1 hour, and the temperature can be increased to 350 ° C or the drying time can be appropriately extended when it is seriously wet, and the number of stacked layers during drying should not exceed 3 layers; It is best to use it with drying or put it in an energized insulation bucket for no more than 2 days to save it to avoid unnecessary secondary drying to prevent the welding rod skin from falling off.
2) The oil and water rust on the welding surface need to be thoroughly cleaned up
Welding process control
1) Current selection: Refer to I=(25-40)*D D is the electrode diameter
2) Try to reduce the arc welding
3) The welding rod swing should not be too wide, generally within 3 times the diameter of the electrode
4) The welding speed should not be too slow to prevent overheating and slagging; However, in the case of easy cracking, you can choose small current slow welding
5) Due to the characteristics of stainless steel in vertical welding, the molten iron is easy to flow, and the best choice is to use the arc breaking welding method.
6) When multi-layer (channel) welding, the welding slag must be cleaned up
7) The arc pit must be filled when the arc is closed
Additional instructions
1) When using AC power supply, the splash is relatively large, the skin is easy to redden, the penetration depth is shallow, and it is easy to stick to the board, so it is recommended to use DC+ welding
2) When using DC, the ground wire is best connected to the middle of the station and fixed to prevent arc deviation or arc breakage.
